Resistance is futile... not!

Its amazing. I'm usually not at home on a Friday until late at night and here I am at home typing this at 6.20pm. The 3 hours Business Statistics paper really shagged me out mentally and physically I guess. I couldn't sleep much last night as my mind keeps repeating the numbers and formulas etc. Before I know it, it is off to school. Bah!

But the last 3 days of group studying did help alot. Plenty of analysing and discussions going on. The result? Quite "smooth" sailing in todays paper. Cheers to Ralphael and Indram/Feroz/Rahul (Whatever name you prefer) if you two happen to be reading this.

Next hurdle, an open book law exam. How to study for that? Selective studying won't help much in this paper I guess. I think I shall look through my notes on Sunday and do more group studying on Monday and Tuesday again. Hopefully, I can be enlightened further.

I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel... endure! Arghhh! Today may be the start of the weekend but I shall not go clubbing to destress! Clubbing shall be my reward after the exams instead! Mind over body, mind over body, mind over body, mind...

Cause And Effect

Cause: 3 hours of lesson in school everyday.

Common Effect: People become lazy and don't come to school, especially if its a morning class.

This usually happens and they usually struggle when its near to tests or exams.

But I have encountered something entirely different. On my first exam paper, one of my classmates did not even come! Sure, sometime during mid semester he started slacking by not coming but he still made the effort to get the notes etc. But not coming to the exam at all? Another classmate called him and discovered that he was not sick, but had some problems I don't know what, and also the thought of quitting school. Sheesh.

Approximately 6k per semester gone like that. Good money down the drain man... Very stupid I would say, but oh well, its his choice afterall. What do you loyal readers think?

I Just Feel Like Bitching

What is the weather up to lately? It is so f**king humid! You can't stay in the open without breaking a sweat! "Xin Qing Zi Ran Liang" doesn't work either! I better down more H2O in case something bad happens. And I can't afford to! Not during my examination week!

Just finished my Macroeconomics1 paper today. And I felt cheated. The past year exam papers didn't help much. I don't know if my batch suay or what but the exam questions is totally different from the previous few past year papers! And I did selective studying by studying from the past year papers somemore! Talk about Productive Efficiency in economic terms... Bleahz!

I guess I only have myself to blame for not going through everything in the notes. Oh well, 1 down, 3 to go. I still will study from the past year papers for the next 3 papers. Call me the stubborn male, persistent fool anything. I don't believe my luck will be that bad. Wish me luck!

This Is Sooo F**king Cool!

I was just browsing through Friendster featured blogs and on looking at Christine's MyPatheticLife360, I stumpled across this clip.

This is so damn f**king cool. You should try it too! It works! It will surely help those poor sales assistants during the Great Singapore Sale.

Twelve Percent

Was reading today's local paper while taking a break off studying and the only news which caught my attention: Banking Sector salary up by as much as 12 percent! That is *whistles* good money! And the best part? I'm studying a banking related degree! If I can land a banking job after my degree, I can't imagine my first pay check. Big money big money! (The sound of money ringing in my head)

Ah Pek Jit Ki!

Singapore is going to have not one but two casinos! I can imagine how the Singapore patrons are going to react at the blackjack table already...

"Ah Pek, Ah Pek..."

"Huat Ah!"

"Chao C*** B**!"

For those who do not know, "Ah Pek" means old man. It literally means a picture card. I don't know why nobody calls the picture card "Ah Mm", the female equilvalent of the old man. "Huat" means to strike it rich and "Chao C*** B**" is a vulgar language. It erm... describes one area of the female anotomy. Hope that explains it all.

Just a side note. The local paper said that 35,000 jobs will be created. By the time the resort is built, I would have already graduated. If the casino is hiring, what positions will they have? Dealers? Floor Managers? Cashiers? Financial Managers? Working in a casino has always been like one of my dream jobs? It wasn't realistic back then because Singapore didn't had any casinos to start with. At least now, dreams and becoming reality.

Show me the money!

Made It!

Some hell of a competition. I worked my ass real hard to help my team cliched the 2nd place of the E-Zone Daytona Competition 2005. At least my team's beginner course professional finally gets to live up to his reputation. He came in first. As expected of the prizes. Apart from a t-shirt, a mug, they threw in tokens as well. $50 worth of tokens for the first place winner and $40 worth for the second. How am I going to spend finish all these tokens?! Their games are so...

OLD!

Sheesh. Hopefully, I can get the pictures up ASAP. But don't count on it given that I have more important things to concentrate on. Studies come first. Leisure shall take a back seat for now...

Wrong timing?

Major Illness usually strikes me once every year. The type that usually makes me just want to confine myself to my bed and rest. This year, it comes to me pretty early. Yesterday, it was a slight sore throat and fever. Today, the illness has fullblown, and I guess I need a crash course on how to get well because my competition is this Sunday.

Luckily I still have another week before my 1st exam paper starts. That leaves me more than enough time to recuperate and study at the same time. Imagine if I had to study with a sickness? *Shudders* Anyway, I won't be updating my blog that often until my exams are finished. Stay tuned.

Do drop me a message if...

you want your blog (friendster or otherwise) to be featured. Do include your blog's url ok? It seems that more and more people are creating friendster blogs and its an empty nutshell! My advice? Delete it away! Stop deceiving people when they click of the blogs tab to find so many blogs with no content at all!

Thanks for reading.

This sucks...

What a bad start to the morning. Going online to friendster and discovering that all my profile has been wiped out, leaving only the basic information. Second time somemore! Man, all that information! Even I have forgotten what I have typed. Too many!

Was my profile attracting too much attention until it had to be reseted again? I remember the first time I uploaded the holding the money picture, 115 people viewed my profile in the span of a month. Thats alot by my standards. To all my friends, stalkers, hidden bookmarkers and fans, endure awhile until the next update ok?

Or maybe I should just write my profile in the blog instead. What do you think?

Marina Square Rocks!

Wooo, the back part of Marina Square is finally opened! The main entertainment of Arcade, Movies and Bowling are back! Need to walk a distance to the recently opened area from CityLink as the entrance to MS from CityLink is now being renovated. The minute I stepped into the building, the first thing I felt was the coldness of the aircon. But let me give a brief description of whats new.

The foodcourt is located at the 3rd storey of Center Stage. The best part of of the foodcourt is that there are seats in the open. Colin and me were enjoying the sea breeze over dinner. Shiok! 2nd floor is Royal Sporting House and Pariss Buffet Restaurant. 1st floor is Urban Dining (I think) and a pathway leading to the entertainment area.

If you are familiar with the old MS, its time to completely erase that from your memory. The pathway leads to Long John Silvers and TS Video. Go down further and you see Guardian Pharmacy and GIANT supermarket. Its GIGANTIC alright. Carrefour is going to face some stiff competition. Near GIANT is the elevators up to the entertainment area. Now comes the fun part.

Follow the signs and behold... Golden Village in big bold letters in your face. On the right is the bowling alley (Never change) and the left the arcade and billard area. (Slight changes in machine positions)

There are plenty of shops still not opened for business. I think thats the Youth Zone area. But looking at the way it is, I think it is going to be a blast. When everything is completely renovated, its going to be the next Orchard Road I tell you.

Peace.

Interesting...

Woohoo, me and my friends got qualified for the competition today. Thats a good start. Can't wait till the 17th of April when the real thing starts. Anyway, I was planning to go clubbing today. Last chance this month because exams are around the corner and I got to hit my notes... again. But Brian sent me a text message saying it was cancelled due to low response. Oh well... but at least this piece of news was a chain reaction to another.

Was outside Plaza Singapura 7-11 chilling out with my homies with our Pokka Green Tea and we witnessed a cat fight! Coming from an all boys school, I don't get to see this thing often too. Man, I don't know if that girl was drunk or what. She was hysterical and it seems that her 3 friends are trying to wake some sense into her... in a violent sort of manner. All that commotion certainly got the attention of the people hanging around nearby. At least the whole scene ended in time for me to catch my last bus home. Hiak hiak.

Back To School!

Wow, didn't know the feeling of going back to school is so shiok. It certainly beats bumming around at home. Classmates were going to Orchard after school and I can't join them. I had to go training for competition and guess what? I didn't even get much opportunity to train today! Sheesh. An opportunity cost forgone I guess.

What competition you may ask? Please refer to Team Xtreme's blog. I scared I say I paiseh. Hahaha. But at least I saw Tracy's sister lookalike today. Even messaged her to ask if her sister Suki is at Dhoby Ghaut. Guess I was wrong. Oh well, enough for the day, until the next update!

Brain Dead

This "school holidays" of mine is really making my brain dead. I kept thinking that Mon was Tues, Tues was Wed, and today was Thursday. Think I really need some major shakeup in my life. But then again, stepping out of the house needs money and I'm kind of tight right now. Oh well...

Pimples!

Ever had a pimple on your butt cheek? Plenty of restrictions sial! And the pain and sufferings you have to go through! Imagine sitting on the other butt cheek everytime you sit down, and always having the need to adjust yourself if it hurts. Sheesh. Therefore the moral of the story is, do not immediately take over the seat of another in the bus or MRT if you know that person have been sitting there for a long time!

Platform Dancing

I went clubbing yesterday and I noticed that if the place is not crowded enough, not one will even dance up on the platform. Everyone will just squeeze onto the dance floor. That is the purpose of the dance floor isnt it? To dance. But why squeeze and just bob your head up and down together with the rest? If that is the case, that wouldn't be dancing at all don't you think? Maybe the guys just wanna get the chance to "eat beancurd" if possible. I can't blame them, I had my fair share of it once. But it defeats the purpose of going dancing isn't it?

Since the dancefloor was so packed and the platform was sooo empty, I made my way there. Alone. Dancing is a form of expression and if I don't think that I am going to be bobbing my head around with the rest. I need my dancing space. And guess what? After about 5 songs or 15 min of dancing alone, everyone tries to get their feet on the platform.

Why the monkey see monkey do effect? Are people just too shy to go up onto the platform? I feel that is it not about showing off your dancing skills but more of an attitude and appreciation of the music. Lets not talk about Zouk, Chinablack or Double O since these these are head bobbing places.

If you are wondering where I went dancing after being crowded out. I went back to my seat and started dancing there. Away from the platform & dancefloor. Like I said, I need my dancing space.

Marvel Gel

Maybe after reading this, you might want to reconsider if you feel like buying "marvel" gel. I'm sure you people have seen the recent advertisements at the bustops. The marvel gel to get rid of dead skin & black heads. Do you people also know that the product has been out for very long already? I think it came out during the middle of 2004. Promoters were everywhere at NTUC supermarkets marketing that product. I wonder why did they start their mass marketing only now? Poor sales?

Now for the sad truth. I was a loyal user for 4 months but the blackheads keep coming back. Sheesh. I'm better off squeezing it out myself. A good waste of money too. I think it was $17 plus per box but during the promo, I bought two boxes at discounted price. I could have used that money on something else better. If the product works for you, good. If not, *shrugs*. Don't say that I didn't warn you...

Happy Belated April Fool's Day!

Yep. It is 12.30am on my computer clock as I am typing this. Any of you peepz been played a prank? Do share if possible. No pranks by my friends as far as I'm concerned. But at least all my tests & assignments are finally over. It is time to party! Sheesh. I suddenly have to urge to go clubbing. But I think I shall pass and go later today as in Saturday. Bring on the music!
