The Lecherous Monk is back in action!

If I can’t blog using Blogger, I’ll blog using Word! Somehow I find that its way much better. Blessing in disguise?

Anyway, here are some of the things which I did over the past two days…

Day 1

Went chillin with my project group leader at TCC.

He wanted to do his part of the project while I had a craving...

For Ice-cream…

2 scoops. It was enough to make my day… until I came home to find out that Blogger post editor is giving me problems.

Day 2

My project group leader lost his temper. Yelling to another group member on the phone, in the middle of Macdonalds. Looking around, I can see that people are trying hard NOT to be kaypoh.

Random thought

A friend whom I have known for quite awhile has finally revealed her blog to me. Apparently, it is so private that no one can see it unless she approves it. “It’s only for myself and a few close friends,” she said.

I didn’t even know she had a blog until she told me!

I am so honoured.

Well, this friend of mine is updated on any new gossips in school and my school life and vice versa. After looking at my tragic story, she has been very helpful in dishing out words of advice or encouragement that somehow makes me think that going to school is worthwhile after all.

Thank you, friend.

Random thought 2

To date, my maxim review has gathered 1,275 viewers to my blog. Madness sial! All you hot blooded males/jealous females!

Random thought 3

Was looking at my referrers and notice that Miss Blackhighheels was among them. Strange… She got write anything about Maxim in her blog meh? Maybe it’s a new post, so I popped over to check.

WAH LAU!!! I kena passed the heel/baton sial!!!

I still can't solve the problem.

I formatted my com two times, read all available help links in blogger, googled about it, surfed the microsoft/firefox website, tired every darn thing that I can do with my display settings and still like that!

Anyone encountered this problem before? Know how to fix? Or knows anyone who knows?

Desperate sial...

Blogger doesn't like me.

The post editor is giving me problems! Anyone knows why like that and how it can be retified?

I can't blog properly!

Fuck! Lets see what blogger has to say...

In the meantime, I won't be blogging much until this problem is solved.

I can't take it!

My eyes opened up wide, my mouth just can't seem to close. For the first time in my life I'm faced with such a big thing. Its so huge, enormous, gigantic as I try to catch everything as far as my eyes can see. I'm so not used to it, but I must face it everyday from now on...

Wah lau, don't think dirty lah!

Perverted sial! Just because of one Maxim review and you think I've changed to some penis sucking gay ah?

Of course not!

I'm a Lecherous Monk ok... I still love girls!

I'm talking about my new 17 inch monitor lah! Just came back from my classmate's place and I just got this inspiration to blog... again!

2 post in a span of 3 hours?

After I changed my monitor, I can really see the difference. The screen is fucking huge loh! Compared to my old and almost going haywired 14 inch monitor, its pathetic!

From this angle it looks the same size rite? (Forget the Famous Amos) The left one is my almost dying 14 inch monitor. The already dead monitor in my previous post is replaced with the the one my friend gave me on the right.

Anyway, on the way home, CTE was fucking packed with cars man. I saw so many red lights!

Everyone taking advantage of no ERP and go home at 10 plus ah?

Somehow I think its a Gahmen conspiracy.

Why?
  1. Gahmen introduces 5 day work week.
  2. Gahmen increase ERP rates and change ERP timing.
  3. People decide to work OT and go home after the ERP timing.
  4. The amount of time OT is the same as working an extra Saturday.
  5. The 5 days work week is offset.

Gahmen very clever hor?

Story Telling

Wah lau, I never thought that today will be the day where I start thinking of stories out of my head. Today's test, 10 questions. 10 %. 1 mark each. With questions so generic and notes so vague, how to answer to the point I ask you? How?!

Lan lan suck thumb loh. Based on the points in the notes, I start spinning a web of lies just to answer every question. Like Sandy used to tell me. Don't know also anyhow whack. I think I whack alot leh. Don't know can pass anot.

Sightings

  1. I discovered that my school finally has an ATM machine! Finally! Now no need to worry about not having enough money within the school premises!

  2. My home desktop monitors are giving up on me again!!! *Wails* Look at its current state!

Sometimes I need to hit it in order for it to become normal. Initially it was ok. Now, I hit until hand pain leg pain also like that. See also eye pain head pain. Arghh! Pek chek!

Therefore, I send this plea to all my readers: If you have upgraded your PC monitor to a LCD flat screen type and is wondering how to discard your old one, GIVE IT TO ME!!! I will even come down to your place personally to collect it!

If you want to know, I'm a cheapskate. I rather reuse than to buy a new one. Thank god one of my classmate has an old 17 inch monitor and he don't mind giving it to me. I'm going down to his place to collect it later. One monitor down, one more to go! The plea is still on!

  3. Want to know the secret to being slim? I eat more vegetables than you thats why. So much more that I think I'm turning vegetarian. You see, my family's standard dinner is economic rice ta bao-ed from our nearby coffeeshop. And we have a habit of changing the ingredients so that each of us has a wider variety of what goes into our mouth and into our stomach. As for tonight's dinner...

    Tadah! On closer inspection...

    2 vegetables and 1 meat...

    3 vegetables...

    1 fishcake and 2 vegetables...

Change here change there.... also vegetables loh! How to grow fat like that I ask you? How?!

  4. There. Done with my dinner and blogging at the same time. Time to go over to my classmate's place to get his monitor before it rains! Ciao!

Barely 24 hours...

And my Maxim review is already linked by iZ Reloaded, read by just-returned-from-phucket Black High Heels and some of my classmates.

Like they say, any publicity is still publicity.

Thanks for the traffic!

A Lecherous Monk's review of...

All you returning hot blooded males and jealous females...

Tsk tsk!

* * * * *

The Lecherous Monk's review of Maxim Singapore Issue #13! Bought this after dinner with my parents at Junction 8.

The first thing I did when I got home was to flip through it, while taking pictures. Haha.

I pushed away all my notes on my study table and Maxim took centerstage!

Actually, I did not buy this magazine because of the dua neh bu on the cover. (Ok lah, that was one of the reasons, but the main reason why I bought it was because of this!)

Maxim uncovers Singapore's Sexiest bloggers! How sweet is that?! I wonder who is the cover girl? Hmmm.

Its none other than Singapore's very own Wendy aka XiaXue!

The separate magazine is so thin! I wonder how much bloggers can they actually feature? Lets see.

Flip...

Wendy.

Flip...

Wendy. Wah, she take up 5 pages already.

Flip...

Oooo. Whos this?! Janice! Never put blog address! *Wails*

Flip...

Janice again! *Drools* On closer inspection, I realised that she look very familiar leh! I wonder where have I seen her before...

Flip...

CJ? Why the photo taken at such an odd angle one? Her blog addy is gabby-cj.blogspot.com Hmmm, maybe should pop by her blog one of these days.

Flip...

Yan. Blog addy is http://lxygripes@blogspot.com Wait a minute... @blogspot? I believe there is a typo error. Upon logging onto the net, I tried the address with an @. No results. I tried with a . and voila! lxygripes.blogspot.com it is! Note to self: Will pop by one of these days.

Flip...

Sandra Ng is Sandralicious! Man, the picture sure is hot! Better than the ones found in her flicker. Somehow, I already know that she will be featured inside, given the publicity that she has received over these past few months. In my opinion, this feature wouldn't be hot if she wasn't inside! Read all about her at sandrapowerpuff.blogspot.com

Thats the last of it. Not enough leh. I feel that there are also a few whom I felt that should be able to make it into the hottest bloggers hall of fame.

  1. Very Poisonous Lady
  2. Pink Shoe Fetish
  3. Sarong Party Girl
  4. Blinky Mummy, aka Hot Convent Girl as Rockson claims.

I got to know of the first 2 blog's existence because of a post which I read some time back in Miss Black High Heels Blog. Then it struck me. I went to do a search in her archives and I realised that Maxim has planned this issue and photoshoot 2 months ago!

Miss Black High Heels said in her post dated July 11 2005.

"Received an email from a local magazine to do a bikini photoshoot for one of their sexy blogger issue. I'm not considered sexy."

I don't think this magazine is FHM right?

Anyway, this month's issue of Maxim Singapore is worth it. Plenty of interesting articles and an overdose of eye candy. I see until nose bleed ah...

What you waiting for? Get your copy today! I'm not lending!

PS: Does anyone knows this Janice? Damn familiar leh! And its driving me nuts! Arghhh!

Ultimate colour clash

Not just with one but many!

Not fun when you get mistaken for one of the many waiters working in Music Underground.

Same polo t-shirt, same colour, only mine does not have the words Europa Music Underground on the back of the shirt.

Woe is me.

I am that blogger.

I realised that my previous post was kinda serious after all the comments and smses I've received. So I decided to write a little lighthearted post today.

I shall take part in the current online meme! Just to let you guys have a sneak peak of my life and look at the real me!

Here goes...

I am that baby who came out of my mother's womb differently from the rest.

I am that toddler who always like to run about and get himself into nasty accidents.

I am that boy who did not cry despite being caned by mother.

I am that student who had tuition almost everyday of the week.

I am that student who made a comeback from sec 3 after being too playful during sec 1 and 2.

I am that student who did not join gangs but had alot of pai kia friends due to being in a pai kia class.

I am that student who started learning how to make a homepage and use ICQ.

I am that student who only started interacting with people of the opposite sex after 'O' Levels.

I am that student who used to chat for long hours on the mIRC despite exceeding his internet hours.

I am that student who also attended outings because he wanted to fit in.

I am that guy who still keeps contact with some of the people he met from mIRC.

I am that guy who bought a pool cue only to lose it two weeks later.

I am that guy who overhauled his wardrobe at the age of 16.

I am that guy who smoked his first cigarette stick at the age of 18.

Good/bad news

Very normal right?

Today, I shall tell a good/sad/good news story instead.

Good news 1

It seems that after the test, I need to pamper myself a little. Its time to change something which I face everyday.

It was love at first sight. And the price of it was too difficult to resist. I just had to get it, even if I have to beg, steal or borrow to get the money.

I bought myself a wall scroll to replace the current old and tattered poster in my room. Talk about an upgrade...

My old room poster

My new room poster

Here is a clearer picture of the wall scroll that I bought, courtesy of dreamwaveprod.com

The more I look at it, the more I like it! At least now my room has a centerpiece. Sweet!

Sad news

Remember my previous post talking about how everything has changed compared to last semester? If you have a bad memory, you can read all about it here. Well, it seems that it is getting worse this time. Luckily it is the last or 2nd last week of lessons before the exam study break, if not I think I'll seriously break down.

To summarise, I have...
  1. no motivation to go to school anymore,
  2. no motivation to do my group project,
  3. no motivation to entertain,
  4. no motivation for anything related to school.

I am usually ok with anything but today's incident really takes the cake. I felt like shit for the entire early afternoon! Why? Because I today I kena fly aeroplane during lunch time thats why! I know some internal conflicts exist lah, if you did not want to sit with them is fine with me! We can always sit alone somewhere else one! But for my own group members to fly aeroplane at the last minute when they promised lunch wasn't a very comforting thing to hear.

As a result, I had to eat my lunch in a hurry because they were all waiting for me, as they had finished theirs earlier. Do you know how paiseh I was? I know they are my lecture mates and they wouldn't mind but I do loh! They were eating as a group and to me, I felt like the "extra" there.

Can I do anything about it?

No.

And I had to wait for Ralphael somemore because he wanted my notes. By the time I was done with lunch, Ralphael was still no where near school. How? I followed the other group to the com lab like a homeless ghost and wasted my time there.

Round two.

They started discussing about their project while I surfed the internet. Do you know how pressurizing that is for me? Knowing that my lecture mates are doing work while my own group mates are either procrastinating about it or can't be bothered about it. I was thinking, if no one was interested in it, why should I be?

Maybe all these pented up frustration led me to raise my voice at a particular person some time back. Guess there is a limit to my tolerence huh?

At that moment, Ralphael reached school and we left for Serangoon soon after as he wanted to see fish. I poured out my thoughts to him about today during the bus journey and I guess he did understand what I was trying to say.

At Serangoon, as it was about to rain. I suggested to him to go to my house after seeing fish to chill and slack first to escape the rain in any. Maybe we can also get some project work done.

Lim Luoqi was also summoned down to my place by Ralphael but apparently, he took his own darn sweet time that when he did finally arrive, it was already quite late. We had already finished discussing liao. 2 men can't get much ideas flowing anyway.

And so we went to Serangoon Central to la kopi.

Good news 2

Initially it was a talk cock sing song session. Very fake. But our kopi session soon became serious. We talked about the issues concerning our group, the group project and I also told him how I really felt when I was pang seh-ed today. Luoqi said he was sorry for all issues and that he will try to show more enthusiasm in the project in the next two weeks. "Next two weeks we are going to Master Blaster" were his exact words, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Being the very forgiving guy, I just let today's matter go. I'm guess I'm not called Mr Ok for nothing. In fact, I really felt better after unloading all these off my chest to both Ralphael and Luoqi.

It also feels like a heavy burden has been lifted off me as I type this blog post to reach out to my other group members who reads my blog.

Details of the conversation between the 3 of us, apart from what I had typed, were all confidential.

What goes on between us on the table remains on the table.

So there.

7 times!

So far, 7 people have said that my new haircut was nice. Although I hate the word nice used to describe a person, this is to describe the hair. Thats not a bad thing right?

Boy, I have so much to blog about but now I don't even know where to start!

Lets see...

Economics 40% Test

I thought I was doomed. After doing the 100 sample MCQs, I still catch no ball. How?! Well, this segment is dedicated to Roy, Jessica, and Stellar for their enormous help on Monday. Even though I was there to study with them, it seemed like I was asking them alot of questions instead, so paiseh! Roy the most patient one, repeating his views over and over again. He also taught me the most stuff. Turn me from a zero to a hero! As a result, the test today was a breeze!

Aftermath

It seems that everyone put in alot of effort the night before. And apparently, alot of my lecture mates did not attend the afternoon lecture. I know because I stayed behind in school for lunch with a few others. I did not attend the afternoon lecture as well. I went to Suntec to check out the newly opened Toys 'R' Us.

What? Big grown men cannot check out/buy toys to collect?

My verdict of the place? CMI. Although it is new, spacious and offer a large variety of different toys, it just doesn't have the "oomph". Maybe it is because I'm no longer a kid and that the current toys doesn't appeal to me. Maybe that explains why I always have a sense of nostalgic whenever I enter those hobby shops which sell toys...

If you are wondering, yes, I went to Suntec alone. All my friends were either working or busy with something/someone else. Since I'm alone and have alot of time, I decided to do some exploring. I walked from Suntec, to Marina Square, to CityLink, to Raffles City Shopping Centre, to Peninsular Plaza, each building checking out their hobby shops and their toy collections.

Ok, I did not look at toys, I did ALOT of window shopping and observing as well...

A torch light that needs no batteries to operate! Just turn the handle behind this gadget for 1 min to produce 30 mins of light. Comes with nokia battery charger somemore! Sweet! SGD$32.00 at the DIY shop.

Marina Square after renovation is now a good place for you lady readers to ketuk your boyfriend/spouse! Food haven ah! Everywhere you turn, there a restaurant or coffee joint. To my poor male readers, if your girlfriend wants you to bring her to Marina Square, BEWARE! No horse run ah! If you are rich, just ignore what I just said.

Plenty or working class people in town! Minimal underaged students! I like! Plenty of babes to oogle at and no one to stop me since I;m all alone... Bwhahaha! The bestest one was when I passed by Miso in Marina Square. She is a knockout man! And she was adjusting the dress with the help on the staff. The face... the figure... Wah lau! If my internal energy not strong, I think I'll nose bleed, ear bleed, eye bleed everywhere bleed there and then and lie in a pool of blood.

Discovered alot of new toy shops in Peninsular Plaza and their nearby buildings. I am drowned with so much information and eye candy today! I haven't been this siao on for a long time already. I also don't know how far I walked but my feet definetely hurts! But its fun! And worth it!

In today's entry, The Lecherous Monk shall also talk about health issues. Who says every post is about scantily dressed women and how good they look?

Remember the time when there was a health hazard about the reusing of plastic bottles? Which in turns leads to an increase in demand for plastic water bottles that you see yourself or your friends carrying nowadays. As the demand curve increases, there is not enough supply of the water bottles to go around. By seeing other firms making a supernormal profit, other competitors see it as profit making and start selling water bottles too, which in turns leads to firms earning normal profits in the long run.

Question?
How do you know that the waterbottle which you now own is safe?

Answer
Look under any bottled water you have at home. Do you see a triangle with a number in it? Most mineral water has the number 1 inside the triangle. Which is meant for one use only; if you must keep them longer, it should be or no more than a few days, a week maximum.

According to Stellar's boyfriend, if the number is 5 or above within the triangle, it is considered safe. The lower the number, the easier for the plastic to break down after repeated washing and rinsing and allowing it to leech onto the water that we drink! Eeeks!

All these years I have been reusing mineral bottles somemore! No wonder sometimes I feel like I'm drinking plastic! *Shudder* Its time to get rid of my bottled water and start investing in water bottles that have the number 5 or above.

Question 2
Stellar's boyfriend's words credible anot?

Answer 2
He works as a safety engineer! What do you think?!

P.S
Anyway, In today's solo excursion, I discovered that the sport waterbottles have the number 4 within the triangle only. Some bottles don't even have the triangle at all! I don't know if 4 is a safe number or not because I can't find anything relating about triangles and numbers in Google.com.

No brands will be named. I don't want to be the 4th blogger go to jail because of defamation! If you want to know, go check them out yourself!

To those who already own a 4 and below number water bottle. Will you take the risk?

I know I won't because I kiasee.

Things just don't go my way

My brain is overworked. Been cramming for the past 2 hours. Why is topic 7 so hard to understand one? I don't find topic 8 and 9 that difficult leh! Haiz, must try to finish topic 10 and start doing the MCQs by today so that tomorrow got enough time to revisie before doom's day on Tuesday.

I've signed up for my school's Pool Club. Why? My friend's standard in pool has always been better than me and knowing that he has been training every other day because he is clearing his off and leave just irks me. Even though he does not say it, I can tell that he has been hustling me all these while, purposely missing so that I got a fighting chance.

Cannot! Must fight back! But things are definetely not in my favour because of the school tests keep popping up every other week, every other free time is catered to doing the school project. My first exam paper is on the 25th of October. Where got time to train I ask you where got time?

Even though my classmates say my billard very zhun, I seriously doubt myself now. Somemore, the best thing is that the pool club's weekly meetups is on Monday and the first session after the CCA open house starts tomorrow! The eve of the dooms day test! How to go like that?!

Yesterday was my friend's birthday. She celebrated her big day at Music Underground. Fun! Apart from the overdose of smoke coming from the smoke machine making visibility very low. Even though there were plenty of girls at MU last night, I can't ogle at them because of poor visibility! So pek chek! Grrr!

Music wise, the DJ sucks big time. He obviously knows it is a eurodance joint. And he purposely play all the nice songs when my and my friends were about to leave. The early part of the night he was experimenting with his mixing (which sad to say is cannot make it) and playing Top 40 & R&B loh!

I'm so angry! Hmpph!

Only one piece of news interest me.

Tuesday is mini-skirt night.

The Lecherous Monk has changed

his hairstyle that is.

Sick of the I-want-to-leave-long-hairstyle liao. Not only is it hard to maintain, the growing phase is just damn too irritating! Hair gets into my ears. My head feels heavy. I feel warm with that thick mop on my head.

So I asked Sandy after lecture if she knew of any cheap salon around our neighbourhood. Her answer? No. She doesn't cut her hair in our neighbourhood! She goes to somewhere else with more posh!

Although I know that many salons and barber shops existed in my neighbourhood, I did not know what is the price range like. I have been cutting my hair either at the barber shop in Upper Serangoon or $10 10 minute EC House for the past 22 years!

I believe that for salons in the neighbourhood, the price range can't be much different. (Don't talk about Passion/Kimage/Toni & Guy/Reds etc lah) Talk about those with no market power. Economics! Perfect competition! Price taker!

So I went exploring the whole of Serangoon Central. I thought they will have a sign stating their price of something but no loh! Chao chao got about 10 salons and only 2 got put price signs! Since its my virgin time, I also don't dare to go in and ask. I scared after I ask but don't cut they give me that you-better-cut-or-else-I'll-remember-you-for-life kind of stare.

Sian ah, in the end when I reached the 10th salon, I decided to just go ahead with it. Lazy to go back to the other nine liao. Its only a haircut! How different can the price be in the neighbourhood? I know its my first time but no need to go to that much extent right?

Guess what? It only costs $12 for a cut. Sweet!

I wanted to leave my back long but wanted a change, so I asked the stylist to be creative.

Hmmm, I think I look different with this new style.

So cooling! So Short! Even my Mum likes it!

No pictures of myself I'm afraid.

Michelle said that I'm a nice guy, and havent thrown temper at her for bugging me all the time. (For your info, I hate being called that. I like to think that nice guys finish last)

Contradictary to what she said, I just threw temper at one of my group members today. I think she was damn pissed with me after that. Oh well, at least I got that settled. Thanks Ralphael for acting as middle man! (Seems like he is paying it forward. I was acting middle man for him the last time. Haha!)

I also rented a few VCDs to watch after my test on Tuesday. So many titles that I wanted don't have! But at least I was lucky enough to rent Initial D the movie. Wonder if it is really good as my female friends said. Their common response were...

"Yah! Go watch! Jay Chou is so cool/handsome/insert-word-here!"

...

Hello? It's a movie about cars you know...

I like to colour clash

Just when I thought I put in the effort and tried to prevent it, I did it again.

Colour clash.

I think its my forte or something. Casual wear kena, formal wear also kena. In the end kena tease like nobodies business. Sheesh! And me and her are at loggerheads somemore. (Loggerheads as in the friendly kind lah. I'm known as Mr Ok in school ok? I hardly find trouble one!)

Supposed to go down to the company to interview the Regional Manager but don't know why last minute got some last minute changes to the questions we were about to ask him. Everyone so gan jiong and in the end started doing the questions to ask him again!

Obviously we were late. So pai seh! now we were working under a tight schedule as we only had an hour for the interview as he had a meeting to attend. Because we got his permission to videotape the interview, I thought it would a no nonsense type like those you see in CNN. Apparently, we got alot of "Cut!", "NG!" and "Take 2, action!" because we either phrased the question wrongly or someone within the group member was unknowingly doing funny facial expressions and was captured on video.

Heng he was ok with it ah! He was even patient enough to let us discuss the right way to phrase the question to ask. Its like we came totally unprepared loh! So unprofessional right? If I was working as a journalist, I think I would get fired if I had to interview someone in today's manner.

Apparently, his big boss happen to drop by and boy, I thought we were in trouble, but no! He was even more enthusiastic than the regional manager. Since he was a bigger gun, he was able to tell us more information. The interview was no longer an interview. It became a lecture instead.

As a result, the conference stretched to two hours instead of the intended one hour. The supposed meeting was supposed to be held in the meeting room we were currently occupying somemore.

Sherlyn said that the staff must be quite dulan with us. If the supposed meeting was held at 4.30pm, 5.30pm can go home liao but since we stayed until about 5.30pm, her guess was that they had to OT until the meeting was done. Opps.

PS

Because we had to redo the questions, we needed the notes that the lecturer gave to us.

Problem: None of my group members brought the notes.

Solution: I borrowed Michelle's notes because she wasn't attending lecture and was going home.

Result: After man-handling her notes, the last page came off! Opps. I hope she won't kill me for that...

PPS

To quit smoking, Michelle gave herself the cold turkey treatment. And now shes complaining about suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Heres what I have to say.

Aiyah, since you already choose this path to quit, stop complaining! Do more sports! Chew gum! Sure can see the light at the end of the tunnel one!

Walking in the rain...

with no shelter whatsoever and lighting strikes every 5-10 seconds.

Walking time from bustop to home is about 5 min.

Not fun.

Managed to complete part of the project today. At least a heavy burden is off my shoulder. Luckily I checked the blackboard for sample reports and followed their format because my group's idea of writing the report is all wrong wrong wrong!

Now I can finally concentrate on my studies.

News of the no smoking ban in school premises coming 1st January 2006 spread like wild fire. Even non smokers know of the news.

1st October cannot smoke at bustop, 1st January cannot smoke in school premises...

Being a hardcore smoker, sure can find ways and means one. If I can smoke in my polytechnic toilet a few years back. I can always do it again. But not at toilet lah.

We'll see.

Second post of the day.

2 servings of mutton soup in a span of 12 hours with only 5 hours of sleep the night before.

Result?

Heaty, stoned and fucking sleepy.

And there are so many things I havent done yet.

Maybe I need Redbull.

It is proven!

I am allergic to menthol cigarettes!

You know when you run out of cigarettes and when people offer you, you don't care that brand/taste it is and just accept?

Well, apparently, most of my friends smoke menthol. And everytime I smoke a menthol cigarette, I will start sneezing. Happen alot of times already! Confirm guarantee chop plus warranty ah!

Friday, September 09, 2005

Haven't even make friend become enemy liao ah?

Meeting time for project: 11am

And I woke up late! With a headache somemore!

What kind of headache? The kind of headache when you suddenly jolt out of bed and you know your body did not get enough rest/sleep.

How late? Late as in I didn't even have time to even gel my hair, wear jeans, socks and shoes like I normally do.

So I left the house in my $12 berms which I bought at a pasar malam yesterday (Cheap!) and slippers, only to discover 3 bustops from my school that the meeting was postponed to 11.30 instead.

Chao chee bye!!! If I had known, I would have taken my own sweet time to dress up instead of looking like I'm going to the hawker centre.

That must have triggered it off. A behaviour which my group members claim that it is a new side of me they haven't seen before, as all the while I have been known as the laidback Mr O.K kinda guy.

What did I do? Apparently, I was shooting my mouth off. Practically at everything and everyone. No one is spared. Not even Christina (another lecture mate) whom I haven't even get acquainted with yet. Here are a few reactions regarding my behaviour...

Ralphael: "Wah, haven't even make friend become enemy liao ah?"

Elizabeth: "Wah, The Lecherous Monk today show attitude huh?"

Luoqi: "Today you not only dress different, act also different huh? Sibei attitude ah today!"

Christina gave me the I-want-to-murder-your-whole-family-including-your-dog kinda stare.

(These were somewhere along that line lah, I can't remember the exact because of the headache)

Haiz, my apologies to everyone if I hurt your feelings or anything. Don't mind me ok? I do have my bad days too, and I guess today was it. What? Guys cannot have PMS?

Well, the project got off to a slow start but we did eventually finish the discussion...

When the 2pm lecture started.

I'm feeling already mentally drained, and some of us had not had lunch yet. And the headache was still there! Arghh!

Pop two panadols after lunch and tried to catch up with the lecture that I missed for the first 45 minutes.

Although I am quite tolerant to cold, I find that the lecture room today was fucking cold loh!

I think I'm falling sick. Help!

Funny when I'm typing this, I don't feel sick anymore...

Bah! Must be the new brand of cigarettes that I'm trying now.

Side notes not related to post but interesting enough to be blogged about
  1. I think me and Luoqi share the same taste in colours. Alot of times we wore the same coloured top liao, even today.

    Brother brother same colour huh?

  2. Imran's stunt

What did he do? The thing he did can really bang wall, bang balls, can bang what sure kena bang one. You know he wanted to log into our student's portal and he forgot his password. Usually when you forgot your password, you can be reminded by answering the security question right?

Want to know what his question was?

His security question is so good that it is worthy enough to be the security question of the century.

    His question was...

    What is my password?

Not so powerful leh

Wah lau, HQ has been pestering him since yesterday. Keep asking me if I'm free to go out with him today anot. (Shouldn't have told him that I have no school on Thursday) I also find it very weird. Ever since he closed his shop and started to go back to his father's place and work, he like very free like that.

My only conclusion is: Of course lah. Now no need to man the shop of course very free mah!

Still jio me go back to camp to see our officers and specialists and friends who have yet to ORD somemore. After that then go out.

Fucking hell! I no time to visit them lah! I have my tests to study, project to do. Where got time? Be thankful that I even agreed to go out with him after that. I told him I will meet him after that. Ok.

And the best part?

HQ: "Go IMM leh"

Me thinks: "Chao chee bye!!!"

Me said: "Why so far!?"

HQ: Aiyah, my father just renovated his shop. I wanna go look at competitors and see how they display their products!

Bo pian, since I agreed to meet him already, I can't say no. I'm just not that sort of person. One and a half hours bus journey. Interchange to interchange. The journey is fucking long man for off peak hours!

When I reach Jurong Interchange, my ass was numb, my bladder was full and my feet felt like there were pins and needles poking after getting off my seat due to the lack of movement.

And HQ was late somemore!

Late nevermind, at IMM I kena pestered by insurance agent somemore!

Hello! I'm only a student who is still taking allowance from my parents. I don't have any money to pay the premuims loh! In the end still give number after saying I will consider. I think the brochure she gave me is somewhere in the trash by now.

When HQ asked me what I want to eat for dinner. I thought he meant dinner at IMM so I mentioned Burger King. Blardee hell, like that also kena fuck.

HQ: Why eat Burger King? So many places got Burger King why must purposely come IMM to eat?

Me: You asked me what I want to eat what!

HQ: Since we are at West area must try some good food mah! Like Boon Lay Nasi Lemak!

Me: And we have to change location again!?

HQ: Don't worry! Got free shuttle bus to Boon Lay MRT! After that we decide how to go.

Heng I got friend who lives at Boon Lay, so I called him and ask.

Me: Eh ask you ah, go Boonlay Market from Boon lay MRT take what bus ah? Wanna go try the Nasi Lemak.

Him: Orrr Market ah? 240! Very fast! 5 to 10 min reach liao!

Being a west side idiot, I thought he was trying to be funny.

Me: I don't want to take cab lah! No bus meh?!

Him: 240 lah! What cab? You ask for bus what! But don't go so early! They havent open yet! Go at 10pm onwards!

Being the joker he was, I thought he trying to act smart so I just finished the conversation ASAP. At the bus Interchange we asked the office what bus to go to the market and the reply?

Bus 240!

There was a bus 240 at Boon Lay interchange afterall! Sheesh!

But since we can't go until 10pm, HQ decided to check Jurong Point to see if there are any competitors and layout to follow anot...

And so we explored Jurong Point and slacked and bio charboh until 10 before leaving.

Hungry sial! And its been a long time since I went food exploring. The last time was during my army days...

"Just look for a stall with a long queue, you can't miss it one!" were my friend's words.

There was a long queue alright. The legendary Nasi Lemak stall. Haji Maksah POWER Nasi Lemak was the stall name.

My verdict?

Not so powerful leh.

Fail!

No more next time!

Why?

The chilli was good. And so was everything...

except...

the chicken wing.

Spoil everything lah. Its too dry and not as crispy as everyone has said.

Oh well, when it comes chicken wings, not many females have tasted the best chicken wing I've ever tasted.

Not easily assessable one.

OETI chicken wings.

Best-est of the best lah that one. If you have any friends who are currently serving their army in OETI, get them to buy the chicken wings from there!

Die die must try.

P.S: I decided to do away with the tagboard. Seems that comments about the posts are mostly found in that board instead of the thread comments. If you have anything relevant/non-relevant to say, just comment in the post damnit!

Miss Black High Heels was right. Having a tag board ain't a good thing.

Why like that?

I was just talking to Michelle on MSN. She was telling me all about her laziness in coming to school every morning and how she will do anything to get back to sleep after waking up. I can't spare you the details... must give her some privacy lah.

Actually is I scared kena sued by her wor! I'm walking on dangerous grounds by just putting her name in this blog post!

Anyway, I asked her whether she got any motivation to go to school since she every morning like that...

MSN Excerpt (Edited)

Me: no motivation to go to sch ah?

Her: hmmz, not really. u got meh?

Me: got. last sem loh

Her: y?

Me: got so much gossips to share, but this sem like no more liao

Her: lol

Me: but this sem like no more liao. everyone living in their own world

I then proceeded to ask her if she was from the diploma batch and asked her how was it then compared to now. She replied that then was more fun because the class was small and everyone kinda knew one another, unlike now, all going home after school.

I said that this semester very stress and she shoot me back saying that she is doing one more module than us as she failed one module during her diploma time.

Bo pian. Lan lan kena shoot back with this I also cannot say back. We proceeded to talk about other school related matters and happenings.

Safe topics never fail.

If I talk dirty like what I do to my other friends, I scared kena sued for sexual harrassment and defamation sial! Double impact!

Cannot cannot. Safety first.

With regards to the above conversation, I can't help but wonder... why like that huh? Last semester my clique got along so well... there was motivation to come to school because of gossips, jokes, Extended lecture breaks and makan sessions.

Fun.

This semester, my clique starts skipping classes and sometimes I find myself joining other groups for lunch. Damn sad sial...

It also appears that there are some internal conflicts going on also.

Although everyone is keeping a straight face, I can tell by observing. But I also don't want to be so kaypoh and ask so much. Just hoping for some good samaritarian classmate to tell me whats going on, if there is anything to begin with.

In the meantime, I'll just put my socialising skills to good use and start mixing around. In fact, I didn't have lunch with my clique today! I had lunch with another group. Not that anyone minded. Like I said, everyone is living in their own world.

On the bright side, mixing around isn't so bad. I get to hear other group's gossips and their happenings. Interesting, but since I'm like a I-know-who-you-are-but-I-don't-talk-to-you-much lecture mate to them, I have to stick to the safe topics as usual, like "Hows your project coming along? Hows your revision for tests?" as topic starters.

Oh crap, speaking of tests, I have an upcoming 40% test which consist of 10 topics! 1 topic is roughly about 30 pages.

CRAZY sial! HOW TO STUDY? One topic per day? By the 10th day I forgot about topic 1 how?

Somemore, I have a feeling that I won't do well for my previous 20% test for another module. The lecturer cheated us all! Gave us hints on what to study, in the end not even half of it came out! Blardee hell...

Need to redeem myself. My results from last semester and this is totally night and day. I better find a good studying method.

Fast.

Got tips share hor...

Destress

Apologies to all my readers, for I have been neglecting this blog of mine as of late.

Apart from surviving with $6.60 per day, I still had to study for not one but two tests! Not to mention that I have projects to do also.

Stress ah!

Today's test was a killer. And to think that Sandy had secret notes never share with me! Hmmph! Heng I went through some of it, if not I think this test sure flunk one.

After a week of intense studying, I just have to give myself a break. I so wanted to go visit Comex because I missed the previous IT show. Heng Roy also wanted to go. A very interesting fella. A modest chap with a sense of humour to boot!

He claims he is a computer idiot, and he wants to go visit Comex to be in the know. Not bad right? Where to find people like him? My other computer idiot friends get turned off whenever I mention the Comex word.

My poor aching feet! We spent about 3 hours just exploring the 3rd floor and 6th floor of Suntec. Other than Comex there was also food fest! Totally unexpected. But a good thing. I had my dinner there.

My main reason was to see what is the current market price for DVD-RWs, and at the same time see whether I can get any cheap headphones. Just to satisfy your curiousity, the current state of my headphones is like this...

All the sponge is all coming apart! I take out and wear also paiseh sial!

As for Roy, he had other purposes other than being in the know. He was checking out the new digicams available, the different laser printers, laptops that were being offered and Norton Anti-virus Software. You should see how he communicates with the staff about the digicams, laser printers. Totally different from how he communicates when enquiring about laptops and the anti-virus software. When he says hes a computer idiot, he really means it!

Anyway, action speaks louder than words. Here are a few pictures at random (my phone low batt lah, cannot take so much) to add some flavour to this post of mine...

I decided to mosiac my lecture mate's face to protect her identity. Apparently, after the test, she was so sian and tired that she decided to squat by the walkway and act like a begger, chanting "Uncle, Auntie, help me by buying tissue paper from me can?" and "Give me a little something to eat please?" in mandrian. It was so funny that I just had to take a picture of her. And the whole time she was harrassing me to send her this photo. Haha.

I got this set of Creative headphones for a dirt cheap price of SGD$16.00! A real steal I tell you!

The crowd at the food fest was not as packed as the one at Comex. Trust me on this one.

Bobosho! Taste like Orr Luak with vegetables with chilli and mayo and wasabi. Shiok sial! Die die must try!

After walking Comex and the food fest for almost 3 hours, we just had to sit down after I bought my bobosho. Dunno why I also followed Roy and bought myself a can of beer for what... But the combination of bobosho and beer is shiok ah!

What are you guys waiting for? Go visit Suntec this weekend! For your info, Comex ends on Sunday! While Toys R Us opens on Sunday. So dissapointing. I wanted to check out the toy store and see if they have any opening store discounts for their toys anot. Guess I will have to go another time...

Sian. Monday still got another test. And project meeting. All in one day! There goes my weekend!
